Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
You may cancel and receive a full refund at any time before work begins. Once work has begun, we refund the fee for any stage not yet started and retain the fee for work already performed. A visa refusal is not itself grounds for a refund, because the fee pays for the preparation work, not for the decision. Refunds are made in EUR to the original card, within 14 days of approval.
Draft template notice: This policy has not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer. The retention percentages in section 4 are commercial terms that must be confirmed by the Company before the site handles live payments. Review alongside Irish and EU consumer protection law.
1. Scope
This policy applies to fees paid to Invite Daddy Limited (Company Registration Number 759077, registered in Ireland) for its own services. It does not apply to third-party charges — see section 6. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
2. Your statutory right of withdrawal
Where you contract with us as a consumer at a distance, EU consumer law gives you 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving any reason.
Because our services are usually needed quickly, we ask you to expressly request that we begin work within that 14-day period. If you make that request and we begin:
- you keep the right to withdraw during the 14 days; but
- you must pay for the work performed up to the moment you tell us you are withdrawing, in proportion to the total service; and
- if the service has been fully performed within the 14 days with your express prior consent, and you acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal on full performance, the right of withdrawal is lost for that service.
If you do not ask us to start early, work begins after the 14-day period and you may withdraw during it at no cost.
To withdraw, send a clear statement to info@invitedaddy.ie. An email saying you wish to withdraw is sufficient — no particular form is required.
3. Cancelling before work begins
If you cancel before we have begun work on your file, you receive a 100% refund of the fees you paid us. No administrative charge is applied.
4. Cancelling after work has begun
Our services are delivered in stages. When you cancel, we refund the fee for every stage not yet started, and retain the fee for stages completed or in progress.
| Stage reached when you cancel | Refunded | Retained |
|---|---|---|
| Payment received, work not yet started | 100% | Nothing |
| Case assessment delivered, no further work started | [TBD — confirm %] | Fee for the case assessment |
| Document review or form completion in progress | [TBD — confirm %] | Fee for work performed to date |
| Appointment booked and confirmed to you | [TBD — confirm %] | Fee for booking and all prior stages |
| Documents finalised and handed to you for submission | 0% | Full fee — the service has been delivered |
| Application submitted by you to the authority | 0% | Full fee — the service has been delivered |
5. Visa refusal does not create a refund right
This is the point most often misunderstood, so we state it plainly. Our fee pays for the preparation and handling of your application — not for its approval. Where we have performed that work, the service has been delivered, and a refusal by an embassy, consulate or immigration authority does not entitle you to a refund.
The decision is made solely by that authority. We have no influence over it and never promise a particular outcome. This is set out before payment on the payment page and in section 2 of our Terms & Conditions.
Where we will refund: if a refusal, delay or failure was caused by a demonstrable error or omission on our part — for example we submitted a form with an error we introduced, or missed a deadline we had undertaken to meet — we will refund the affected service fee in full. Raise it with us and we will investigate.
6. Third-party fees are never refundable by us
Consular and visa fees, visa application centre charges, biometric fees, courier costs, translation, notarisation and legalisation fees, insurance premiums and bank charges are paid by you directly to those parties. We never receive them and cannot refund them. Consular fees in particular are almost always non-refundable, including when an application is refused. Any refund of such a charge must be sought from the body that levied it.
Currency conversion losses and foreign transaction fees charged by your card issuer are likewise outside our control and are not refundable by us.
7. If we cancel
If we cannot deliver a service — for example the route is not available for your circumstances, required documents cannot be obtained, or we are unable to continue for a reason not attributable to you — we will tell you in writing and refund 100% of the fee for all work not performed. Where we can perform no part of the service, the refund is 100% of the fee paid.
Where we terminate because information you supplied was false, or because we were asked to support a deceptive application, no refund of work performed is due (section 8 of the Terms).
8. How to request a refund
Send a written request
Email info@invitedaddy.ie with your full name, payment reference, the service concerned, and the reason for the request.
We acknowledge it
Within [TBD — acknowledgement window, e.g. 2 business days], confirming receipt and telling you if anything further is needed.
We assess it
Within 14 calendar days of receiving a complete request, we confirm in writing what is refundable and why, by reference to the stage table above.
We pay it
Approved refunds are issued within 14 calendar days of approval.
Requests should be submitted within [TBD — request deadline, e.g. 30 days of the event]. Later requests are still considered, but evidence of the work performed may be harder to establish for both sides.
9. How refunds are paid
- Refunds are made in EUR, in the amount originally received by us.
- Refunds are made to the original card used for payment. We cannot refund to a different card, to a third party, or by another method — this is a card scheme requirement and a fraud-prevention control.
- The amount that reaches your account may differ from the amount we refund, because your issuer applies its own exchange rate on the reversal. Currency movement between payment and refund is outside our control.
- Foreign transaction fees originally charged by your issuer are generally not returned by them. That is a matter between you and your bank.
- After we issue a refund, your bank typically takes a further [TBD — typical bank posting time, e.g. 5–10 business days] to post it to your account.
10. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first. Most issues are resolved faster and more completely with us directly than through a chargeback, which typically takes weeks and freezes the matter for both parties while it runs. We will always engage with a chargeback and supply the acquiring bank with the evidence of services delivered.
